Lotus Lodge is a 7-bed facility in the London Borough of Redbridge specialising in providing medium to long-term care for adult males and females of all ages diagnosed with moderate to profound Learning Disabilities and other complex neurological conditions that require continuing nursing care.
These conditions include the Autistic Spectrum, Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Parkinsons Disease, Acquired Brain Injury and Speech Impairment.
The service is focused on providing high quality and continuing respite care for long-stay Residents and convalescent care for less impaired Residents with prospects for stepping down either into supported living or directly back into the community.
Residents engage daily in a wide range of structured activities within the Home to promote life-skills and stimulate cognitive awareness and responses. These activities include cooking, gardening, art classes and music appreciation sessions.
Frequent trips and excursions are arranged for residents out into the community to engage in shopping and leisure activities, both for enjoyment purposes and to promote social inclusion and encourage personal decision-taking.

The staff at Lotus Lodge are able to deal with my relative who has a profound Learning Disability. At all times they treat him with understanding and respect. They deal with his special dietary requirements and his personal care, and ensure he is taken out into the community for trips which he enjoys.
I am kept informed of any health problems that occur and we work closely to resolve these, The staff accompany him to hospital appointments when required which is a relief for the family. The staff are very caring and it shows. I am confident they meet all the needs of my relative and that he is happy
